A simple and delicious recipe for crispy roasted cauliflower florets seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and parmesan cheese, perfect as a healthy side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Cauliflower

  • 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets

Seasoning and Oil

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional Garnishes

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Toss Cauliflower with Seasonings: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until each floret is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  3. Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure the florets are not crowded to allow them to roast properly and become crispy.
  4. Roast the Cauliflower: Roast the cauliflower in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Roast until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  5. Add Garnishes: Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and, while still hot, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving to add a fresh flavor and visual appeal.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, make sure the cauliflower is spread out in a single layer without overcrowding on the baking sheet.
  • You can omit Parmesan cheese to keep the recipe vegan and dairy-free.
  • Try adding other spices like cumin or chili powder for different flavor variations.
  • Use fresh parsley or substitute with fresh cilantro or chives for garnish.
  • Leftover roasted cauliflower can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
