Cauliflower
- 1 large head cauliflower, cut into florets
Seasoning and Oil
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional Garnishes
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Toss Cauliflower with Seasonings: In a large bowl, toss the cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until each floret is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the seasoned cauliflower in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, making sure the florets are not crowded to allow them to roast properly and become crispy.
- Roast the Cauliflower: Roast the cauliflower in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Roast until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Add Garnishes: Remove the roasted cauliflower from the oven and, while still hot, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving to add a fresh flavor and visual appeal.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, make sure the cauliflower is spread out in a single layer without overcrowding on the baking sheet.
- You can omit Parmesan cheese to keep the recipe vegan and dairy-free.
- Try adding other spices like cumin or chili powder for different flavor variations.
- Use fresh parsley or substitute with fresh cilantro or chives for garnish.
- Leftover roasted cauliflower can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
