Ingredients

Marshmallow Pops

  • Large marshmallows – 24 pieces
  • Lollipop sticks or paper straws – 24 pieces

Chocolate Coating

  • White chocolate chips or candy melts – 340 g (12 oz)
  • Milk or dark chocolate chips or candy melts – 170 g (6 oz)
  • Vegetable oil or coconut oil – 1 tablespoon

Decorations

  • Valentine-themed sprinkles – ½ cup
  • Pink or red candy melts – ½ cup

Instructions

  1. Insert Sticks: Insert one lollipop stick into the center of each large marshmallow carefully, ensuring it is secure. Place them upright on a parchment-lined tray to prepare for dipping.
  2. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in the microwave at short intervals (about 20-30 seconds each), stirring well between each interval until smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, stir in 1 tablespoon of vegetable or coconut oil to achieve a smooth, dippable consistency.
  3. Dip Marshmallows: Dip each marshmallow on a stick into the melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the coated marshmallow back onto the parchment-lined tray.
  4. Decorate: Immediately decorate the chocolate-coated marshmallows with Valentine-themed sprinkles or drizzle with melted pink or red candy melts for a festive touch. The chocolate needs to be wet to allow toppings to stick properly.
  5. Set Pops: Let the marshmallow pops set at room temperature until firm, or speed up the process by refrigerating them briefly. Once set, they are ready to serve or package.

Notes

  • Store finished marshmallow pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days to maintain freshness.
  • Decorate immediately after dipping to ensure sprinkles and drizzles stick well to the wet chocolate.
  • These pops are perfect for gifts, Valentine’s Day parties, or classroom celebrations.
  • If you prefer, substitute white chocolate with milk or dark chocolate for different flavor variations.
